Thumbs up SpaceGray:35i:Video:Pictures:Reviews:Questions:Iss ues:etc...

Hello,

I am trying to make a thread to compile all space gray production videos, personal videos, pictures etc. I am also planning to compile my reviews (experiences), questions, issues(I wish and hope this to be none) etc...here.

To start with here is my production video of space gray metallic x3 xdrive 35i, I named him bheem (reason for the name choice is below, if anyone is interested), the video got released yesterday. Enjoy and comments are welcome.

http://www.bmwusa.com/Standard/Conte...berid=51223979

Thanks Jay.

Bheem (aka Bhima) is one of the central characters of Mahabharata (epic of india) and he is very muscular and popular for his strength, power and wisdom.

Yes it is very nice that we can see the making video, its more like an ultrasound of a baby and watching the first touchdown(like baby sit for first time) and rolldown (like first baby steps). I feel a special link between the car and me. I owned 2 cars in the past and I never felt like that.

Yes! And somehow my cars to me have always looked nicer then others, one learn to notice little detail which make them better to our eyes, even if the same model. Same as the smell of the inside, i for instance love to feel the smell of the leather "as it is" and hate all parfumes many people use: in my car eating is simply forbidden same as bringing inside anything that stinks.

And the good thing is that when you get it home, it doesn't beep its horn and flash its lights at 2am because it's hungry

Well said, with new baby on its way to our family this fall, it will be good to see atleast one baby taking care of itself and not crying in the middle of the night.

Quick update on what's going on in my end, my x3 arrived at dealership on 5th April, but I am out of town and have other business priorities to take care of all of this week, also my x3 diff event is coming up on 4/12, hence planning to take delivery on 4/14, will post the group with some space grey pictures as soon as I take delivery. I was actually not able to concentrate properly on my work and want to see my car and take delivery as soon as I get to town, but since I have waited almost 1 week, thinking it does not hurt to wait couple of more days next week and bag the 500$ gift certificate. Keep watching this space around 14th for pictures...

Participated in the x3 event today. No questions asked on what car I drive or anything like that. Tried Lexus, Audi and x3 each around 15 mins. Still loved x3. Giftbags that they had for participants was over, so they took my address and told it will be sent in mail. Also casually asked when will I get the certificate and the answer is with in 7 days.

I will post updates when I get the certificate and take delivery.

Jay - so was that your space grey X3 sitting up on the second floor in the corner? I thought about keying it

I went to the event as well, nobody told me to grab a gift bag though! What did I miss in it?

Oh, and I drove the mercedes, what an awful ride.

@jaymk5

Be sure to post a photo of your car/truck after you get your mud flaps on. I plan on installing them on my "space gray". Love to see how they look.

@TrikinCurt

I got a white bmw travel mug. Now it's my wife's gift to match her white 535i.

Is that Black Nevada interior with brushed Al I see? That's what I went with. I am so glad that I changed my mind on the color from sparkling bronze to space gray. Looks great with the 309's.

Yes, I went with the Black Nevada w/ sports seats and the brushed aluminum. You don't see too many X3's out there with the 309's, so I'm looking forward to introducing mine to Chicago hopefully next week.

Your car is begging for chrome exhaust tips! Have you thought about black or silver brake calipers behind the 309's?

The tips are chrome as far as I know. I haven't thought about calipers yet, but I will be. I've got the $500 accessories gift certificate so I have some cash to play with.

You are right it does come with "Chrome Tailpipe Finishers". If you haven't seen it, I did post a list of the items that are eligible for the gift certificate a few days ago.
