Why do I get this?

My ConnectedDrive service is paid and active, so I'm not sure why I'm getting this message. 2015 x3.

im guessing this is because BMW has ditched 3G modem for 4G and your vehicle (and mine) have a 3G modem. I get the same message

A bit more likely is the relevant cell network provider has ended 3G service in your area so you are no longer able to reach the BMW servers. I'm not sure about a 2015 as you would have the NBT head unit. I have a 2012 with the CIC. The CIC requires an external combobox for the service and that can be upgraded to a 4G version. So it's likely possible but maybe not cost effective.

It's because BMW stop supporting the connected drive store on all idrive systems except Idrive7.

I have a G30 Idrive6 with 4g and get the same message.

Has nothing to do with the SIM card. Apps will still update just can't purchase additional services through the car like we use to
