In the event that BMW is paying attention, I figured I'd make sense to keep beating this horse.
Like the F15 catalogue, I would much like to see a MPPK, MBBK and performance exhaust for my 35i. Anyone else interested? If so, in what? My take-the segment has evolved since 2011 with the recent introduction if the SQ5, Evoque Autobiography and Macan. I know the F25 is in it's twighlight, but surely a minor investment in keeping the faithful happy (and away from becoming first time Porsche customers) has some tangible ROI. |

I have been beating the horse for MPPK on the F25 since 2011. I think in this generation, the most we can hope for is that we can use what they release for the F26. In 2011, the X3 had no competition in regards to performance. That is no longer the case. Again, more HP and better brakes...Please!

Well since the new x4 came out there are going to be performance parts released. Since basically these two vehicles are the same most likely these parts are can be placed on the x3.

If we were at the start of the model cycle it would sure be a great addition, but with the G01 not that far off, we're just waiting to trade in our 2012 at that time so it wouldn't make alot of sense financially for us. Maybe BMW is doing the same with the X3 line?
Interestingly, I noticed on the BMW site the following contained in the description of the MPPK - "All models receive a re-mapped accelerator pedal calibration for more dynamic throttle response, and ... ". Maybe those of us with the acceleration lag issues could use that now. |

For example I bought the new floor mats from the new x4 for the front and they slotted in my x3 like it was made for it. Since most of the hardware like drivetrain and engine is basically the same as the x4 I wouldn't be surprised you can retrofit these parts on the x3 even if BMW may just call them x4 parts. Another example is I took the carbon fiber gearshift from the 5 series and it worked on my x3. The parts BMW makes are to cut costs as much as possible so that is why they may use one part in in various vehicles like the gear shift. Even though BMW doesn't promote that you can get a carbon fiber gearshift cover for the x3 the part is physically the same as many other vehicles in BMW's range.
