Any X3 35i with M Sport without DHP owners in the US regret it?
As the title says, anyone in the US with 35i plus M Sport package, without DHP owners regret it?

no, but then again i don't know what i'm missing. if DHP comfort mode is more plush than non-DHP normal and sport just as, if not more, stiff, i probably would have ponied up the extra 1300 for DHP. the wifey would prefer an even softer ride.

As I keep trying to decide to add this on last minute to my order...my thoughts are typically if I will want a stiffer ride. I've always driven lowered cars with stiff suspensions. I'm 34. Wife is 29, but we do have a newborn in 3 months. I don't think she cares too much about a super soft ride either as when we took an X3 on a test drive, when we were getting on the curved/banked freeway onramp, first thing she asked was, "does it roll much?".
I have a feeling if I did get the DHP, I would probably leave it in the normal setting 90% of the time. Aghh, to justify $1300 ...

If you are getting the 35i with the SAP, I think you will be happy with just the normal, sport and sport + settings. It really changes things up nicely!

I have MSport with the DCC pkg (which in Canada, is same as DHP in US). While I use the Drive Sport gear selection a lot, and the Sport driving tab a fair amount, I seldom get up into Sport + where the DCC comes into greater play. Notwithstanding that, I am glad I have it for those "occasional" times.
Normal setting, and regular gear selection is fairly soft, which is fine for some driving, eg errands around town. I am glad to have as many choices as possible.

Ok guess it doesn't matter anymore. The CA was able to add it on. Order date was July 7. Was told it was supposed to go into production last week. Didn't happen. She now tells me Aug 15th is the production date, but it will still be done by September as first stated.

I also have the 35i with M-Sport and did not order DHP. The Normal, Sport, and Sport+ meet my expectations, but I've wondered if the DHP would absorb abrupt bumps in a slightly more refined way. But since I'm absolutely happy with what i have, whatever I'm missing doesn't seem to bother me. There's just no dealer stock around to make that kind of defined comparison anyway. I had been ticking too many boxes, and had to give up the upgraded sound and the DHP to keep the M-Sport box checked. As I'm now over the break-in period, I'm more relaxed and starting to really love this car - more every day.

The added comfort of the DHP will be far more appreciated by wifey in the last weeks of pregnancy and first weeks after childbirth than it ever will be appreciated by the new bub.
Babies love vibration to help them relax. Wifey will feel every bump and ripple strip with all that extra pressure on her bladder, tailbone and pelvic floor.

Dealer screwed up my order and didn't include DHP with my M-Sport. I regret accepting the X3 without it. Seems to lean and pitch and is not too confidence inspiring on mountains pass curves. I had only test driven a 35i with SAP, so the base suspension in the M-Sport is a real let down.

Thanks for all the feedback guys. My original car went into production this week. Due to the fact my CA ordered the wrong wood trim and the fact changes cant be made once it goes into production, she grabbed another near production vehicle, modified it to how I want it, and it should go into production next week. I'm a bit anxious that it gets built correctly with the correct options =(
Has anyone received an incorrectly optioned car even after having a correct Vehicle Inquiry Sheet?? On the BMWUSA tracking site, does it show you what trim you ordered? The trim isn't showing at all anywhere for my original X3 that's now in production.. Thanks for the feedback guys.

Sport/Sport+ tightens the steering, changes shift points, and traction control, but certainly does not change anything with the suspension. Confirmed that the struts/shocks are the same part number as the base suspension.
