Need to replace 19" nonstaggered RFT looking at RE960AS
Looking to replace the 19" non staggered RFT on my Msport X3. I have a dedicated set of winter times/tires so I'm looking towards a performance oriented all season.
If this was my personal vehicle then I would opt for non RFT and have a space-saver spare, but this is for my wife and hence the need for RFT. At the top of the list is the Potenza RE960AS Pole Position RFT 3G Anyone with any experience and comments on this tire? |

Just replaced 18" 960AS RFT with the same, highly recommended. OEM Pirelli Cinturatos were down to 2-3/32" and replaced at 24K miles. The 960ASs went 45K miles.

I have been able to drive the car in city and highway conditions and have thus far been impressed with this rubber. In spirited driving the X3 felt nimble and not jumpy. Driving noise is also better than OEM

JUST put a set of 19" Bridgestone Potenza RE960AS Pole Position RFT 3G on my X3 35i, and I love them!!! They have quick turn in and handle great dry&wet, as an ultra high performance all season should, and they still manage to provide a more comfortable ride and are quieter than either OEM RF tires (LS2 or P7). Go for it - you'll be happy!
I only plan to use them as a 3-season tire, because I have a set of Pirelli Winter Carving Edge Run Flat on another set of OEM 18" wheels. FYI - I was very happy with these snow tires, too. |
