Spotify Integration - with standard lightning cable
I have been reading posts in the forums after I noticed that using the spotify App often led to crashes. I connect via the USB port in the console using my standard lightning cable with my iPhone 6. I use the 'BMW Connected' App and launch Spotify. It's nice to be able to see my library(so songs, playlists, etc). It works for a while, but often locks up. Sometimes it even crashes the entire system and it reboots. I upgraded to the latest software version. Do I need one of those 'official BMW' cables? I know I can use the bluetooth, and that works, but I can't browse my music, see the album art, etc. I have a 2013 X3.

Spotify works like a charm in my X4. It's sad though that you can't perform a "Spotify Search" from the iDrive. Probably due to safety..? |
