X3 F25 PDC Fault

My 2011 X3 Has developed a fault with the PDC system and is not longer functioning, I have checked all the sensors and all but one are working, the rear driver side is not working, but after testing with a new sensor it would appear its not the sensor, so I guess it must be the connector or something else, anyone any idea? any help will be much appreciated.

I had a similar problem. You really need to know which harness (front or rear) is causing the issue. Mine was a chafed wire in the front that caused the issue. Front bumper has to come off. Not fun but an easy fix.

Thanks momoboy, as all the front are working and one of the rear what's not working it, I guess it must/will be the rear harness thats causing the issue.

Look for posts on how to install the trailer hitch as there are great tutorials on how to remove the rear bumper cover. You might get lucky and get underneath and see something obvious. Good luck!

Ordered and fitted a new harness for rear sensors but had same issue so wasn't the harness. Then inspected harness going into car and noticed one wire looking a little flat, around 3 inches away from plug, upon closer inspection the wire sleeve had a little nick and was attached together but the wire inside had split, so returned the new replacement harness and repaired the faulty wire and all good now. The best bit was didn't need to remove rear bumper as the previous owner had a trailer hitch installed, this gave me room to just about get my hand in to the sensors and harness.

That's great! That sounds like the same thing with my front harness. Pinched wire. Glad you got it sorted out!

Bringing back a old thread. What program did you use to diagnose the issue?

Has anyone figured out where the PDC module is located in F25 (X3)? I have all the trunk taken apart and can't find it for the life of me. Some say it's by the fuse box on the right rear passenger side but it's not there. Anyone?

BMW Parking Sensor Fail

Hi I was wondering if anyone knows if it is easy to replace a front parking sensor on my car. The parking sensors no longer work when backing up. Has anyone tried this? Is it easy to do? Best place to buy a sensor?
