X5 Rims on an X3?

I just purchased a 2016 X3 and am not thrilled with the choice of rims that BMW says will fit the X3. Does anyone know if X5 rims will fit the X3?

thanks!

Short answer - no, you'll need spacers to make them fit.

Have you looked at:
-20" 310M? 245/40-20 front, 275/35-20 rear. For X3/X4.
-20" X4 M40i optional wheels with Michelin Pilot Super Sport? Non-RFT. Size as above.

Some people add 10mm spacers.

Thank you for the reply. Yes I've seen those two and they are not bad. But the ones I am really interested in are the 20" 469M that are an option on the X5. I'm not really sure if I could get those to work nor am I familiar with spacers.

It's unlikely that there is room at front for X5M wheels.

Some people at X3 Forum have installed spacers - general opinion seem to be that 10mm is OK - no more - no less. Often paired to 20" X3/X4 rims.

I enclose a teaser . Lowered X4/H&R. 310M. No spacers.

Op: Go to the X3 photo gallery and see "M5 wheels on X3" thread and pics.

I use X5 rims for my winters. They're E53 17" wheels. The old E83 17s didn't fit.

I've been looking into this information as well. I'm not opposed to the OEM 369s that come on the X3, but I want a wider stance. Looking into some other options to step into the 20" range as well... I like the 469s, not so much on the 310s though...

Some other wheels to look at.. Style 356, 373, 303, and 333.
