Transfer Case seal, Torque and Performance Control

Next week my 30D goes into have the Transfer Case seal replaced as it's been leaking oil. Torque from the diesels is a lot to ask the gearbox to handle so maybe it's not too surprising these things happen. When I put the X3 into Sport+ and boot it hard round a tight bend the handling is superb for a 4x4. The 413lbs/ft of torque feels very strongly directed by the PC to the rear which pushes the car around the bend in a very satisfying manner.

Is it my enjoying myself like this that weakens the Transfer Case seal? (aside from it not being up to the job or kinked when fitted)

I have no specific familiarity with the systems and components, but I'd say what you described is exactly what we expect this car to be able to do routinely. It's what I'm doing with mine (and I agree, it is satisfying) and what I've done (absent the xDrive element) with my previous BMWs. Doesn't strike me as driver error.
