How many days from order submission to actual production?

Just curious how many days it took for your X3's to enter production after the CA submitted the order. My order was submitted 11/7 and I was told to expect delivery the first or second week of December. However, my X3 hasn't even entered production as of 11/18. Just concerned.

Call your salesperson. They have access to a different system than what's online. They are way more accurate than the online info.

It took 18 days total from order date till it was delivered to the dealership for my wife's X3.

thats about right. I work for a BMW dealer... Mine was built on the 2nd week of November, and is on rail right now. Should be here around the end of Nov/First of December. Once the dealer gets it, there will be some pre-delievery inspection that will take a day to do. Vehicle comes in on blocks in the suspension, electronics are locked out and fluids that need to be changed.

Hope that makes sense to you.

Thanks everyone. Very helpful. Just heard from the CA, and he said the car just entered production, and that I can expect the car first week of December as planned. Can't wait (even though I bought the car for my wife).
