clunking noise when car is rolling to a stop

Hi the,
I'm new to this forum.
We have an x3 f25 2013 2.0 diesel x drive.
A faint knocking noise has been present for some time now when the car is accelerating from a very slow start or rolling slowly in built up traffic. There is no noise once the car is driving normally in higher gears.
I'm wondering if anybody else has experienced this noise and what it may be.

Check the suspension and the drive line, could be anything from bad ball joints/bushings to failing universal joints in the drive shafts... normally the front drive shaft U joints fail, suggest going to Indy repair shop and pay for vehicle check. Some shops will not charge you for the evaluation if they repair the vehicle.
