Most likely it is possible, but is is hard to know with certainty.

He wants to downgrade 55.0 to 54.1 as 55.0 isn't codeable due to BMW AG Trimming the PSdZData CAFD files in newer releases.

And that's good to know. In that case, should I decide to update mine, I have to be careful not going to that one...
Regarding my I-Step Current information I was supposed to tell you, I’ll pick up my bimmer today from the workshop and hopefully later today I’ll post it.

Hi Shawn,
Got my F11 from workshop and the news are not good.
But first let me tell you what I got from VCM - see attached.

The bad news are that they told me they updated the software to v55 because of the new window lift they replaced - what a bad luck! So long waiting to code it and now this...

Nevertheless they told me it is possible to downgrade, but a special authorization needs to be requested - don't know very well what this means but I'm hoping to be successful.

What can you tell me?
Does my I-Step reading confirms it?

Yes, F010-15-03-501 = ISTA/P 2.55.0.

You can try, but for any ECU that has Trimmed CAFD you will not be able to find any FDL Codes.

No new E-Sys will solve this. The issue is all descriptive text has been removed from most of the PSdZData files.

So what I'm reading looks like downgrading seems plausible but no one knows how to actually do it am I right?

I don't know the answer to that question. For now, the only way I find it to be possible - still to be confirmed - is through the BMW workshop.

HUD_ENTERTAINMENT_ENABLE = aktiv (ovbiously entertainmnent)
HUD_TELEFONANRUF_ENABLE = aktiv (incoming call in HUD)
HUD_TELEFONBUCH_ENABLE = aktiv (recent phone calls list in HUD)

searched everywhere
I see enabling for blinker only....

what to do now??

You flash ECU's with E-Sys and older (i.e. 54.1) PSdZData.

It's fairly safe so long as car is on a good commercial grade charger rated for 50 Amps minimum. But anytime you flash an ECU, you run the risk of bricking it.

Here are the basic steps:

Go to Comfort Mode => TAL-Calculating
- Read and Save FA
- Activate FA
- Read and Save SVT Actual as SVT_ist
- Create an SVT Target
Under KIS/SVT Target Calculation Strategy, select Complete Flash
Select I-Step (shipm.) to match your original I-Level as read and shown in VCM I-Step (Shipment)
I-Step (target.) will be unselectable as it is fixed based on current PSdZData I-Level
Do a KIS/SVT Target Calculation and Save as SVT_soll
- Do a TAL Calculation and Save as SVT_tal

Go to Expert Mode => TAL-Processing
Load TAL (SVT_tal)
Load SVT Target (SVT_soll)
Select "Read FA" button.
Check radio button for "read VIN out of FA"
On ECU Tab, uncheck let top box in column "All" (All checked boxes should toggle to unchecked)
On ID Base Row for Kombi, make check boxes in blFlash, swDeploy, cdDeploy, and ibaDeploy columns.
Press Check software availability
Press Start and it will proceed with processing TAL to flash Kombi with new firmware.

Dealer would need to program the car, or you could flash it with E-Sys.
