Just installed this. So far it's been ok. Android 11. 8gb ram.. wireless apple car play is the reason this was purchased. Was a bit of a hassle to initially setup, but so far love it!

Will post a better review later.

Purchased from AVIN

Looks good. I like how it sits lower than the 10" screens I've seen. Look forward to your full review. Which site did you get this from?

Hello

I have used a few Avin products in the past, but I've found the CarPlay integration is always not 100%. Do you know if this product can do the following?
  1. Change tracks in CarPlay using the steering wheel
  2. Change navigation volume and music volume independently in CarPlay

So far in my other cars, I've always found the steering wheel volume control works, but not the track up/down control (in CarPlay specifically)

And also, the volume control works for CarPlay in general, but can't independently change the navigation volume and music volume.

If you could let me know that would be great, as I'm considering buying an F25 X3 and this exact screen.

Answering my own questions:
  1. The steering wheel knob surprisingly does change tracks! The HUD complains that it's in AUX mode, so clicking does nothing. But scrolling down will move to next track, and scrolling up will do previous track
  2. Because the car is in AUX mode, it has no concept of splitting the navigation volume and media volume. So they can't be changed independently

Also, stuffing the extension cable behind the DVD player was a nightmare! Have to be careful not to damage the two optic cables, and there wasn't any room for the fuse box or the giant extension box. Ended up pushing them to the bottom right.
