Going to go with a JB stage 1 for now, and hoping that the X4 M40i will happen. Or may downsize to a 3GT when the new engines are released.
I would recommend aFe Scorcher or RaceChip Ultimate both will outperform and run more stable than jb stage1

The benefit of DINAN, beyond their warranty, is the engineering. Don't get me wrong, Burger's products are worth every penny... but because they charge less, they also invest less in R&D.

I encourage anyone with access to a JB4-equipped N55 and DINAN equipped N55 to drive them back to back. They both make more power- but the bogs and hiccups that accompany the BM products just aren't an issue in the DINAN pb.

Seen this mention a few times as well. My friend had JB3 on his X3 35i sure it was fast when you stepped on it but the drivetrain malfunction since it was prob beta was a headache for him. Took it off sold it on eBay and left his 35i alone now he has 10 more months left on his lease.

Hop over to the F15 forum where DINAN just announced the F15 x35i tune (w/ +77hp to stock). In addition to relaying that they hope to have an F25 tune by year end, they explain their approach to tuning, how it differs from simpler piggy-backs and what the warranty entails.

I'm excited.

Will do- but to clarify, I am in no way affiliated with BMW or DINAN... Just an F25 owner looking for more oomph! ðŸ»

I think we'll have something in the next few weeks, see here:

Regardless, the remaining X and Z models we are hopeful to release before Christmas but depending on production may be early in January (the holidays are horrible for future planning). The 320i tune would be shortly thereafter...

Agree- I spent $60k on this thing, if I go the route of a tune, I am comfortable coughing up an additional <1% of purchase price for one from a company with a valuable reputation on the line and, more importantly, a warranty. Also- since I'd buy this through my local BMW service department m, there'd be little ambiguity if something went wrong and I won't have to worry about removing the tune before service.

I'm own a F25 X3 with JB4 and live about 15 minutes away from your shop.
When I had it installed I was told Stg 2 should be fine and was going to go back and dyno but didn't get around to doing it.

What is it that you are trying to test and what are the risks?

I was about to see if the JB4 Stage 2 do really work. Because BMS techs told everybody that it didn't work on the X series.
But, I got it to work on my F15 X5. Some techs I guess.
If you don't mind coming by, I want to check what else can be done to the car.

I have the JB stage 1 and have no issues with it. The "butt" dyno can feel a difference. That coupled with an cone intake makes for a nice sound especially when down shifting or on full throttle. Now just need a quality and affordable quad exhaust.

Yes I did, great so far. Took longer to get the clips off than to install it.
Immediate MPG improvement in every setting but I've noticed the most MPG improvement in the highway on C,D,E mode, not so much on F but now just increased to "0" and Ecopro is amazing.

Has anyone tried Performancechipsusa? They claim to increase MPG, which I'm more interested in than additional power/torque from my 35i's 6-cylinder. Or, just stick with Eco mode and just occasionally use Sport mode?
