My selection would be less redundant and less modest:

Bought a pair of these and they are very nice. Had to trim the corners of my plates just a bit to get a nice fit. Have only had them on for 5 months so can't speak to their longevity yet but the price is right and the plain black frame looks great on my Black Sapphire Metallic.

I went with a simple black frame. But, it is black powdered coated stainless steel made in the USA. Cruiser plates are just "steel or al", made in China. After a year on the car, they still look new. They will standup to Canadian winters better than the cheapy plates. I also used plexiglas on the front plate, so it protects the license from gravel and no bugs. This company also carries BMW plates that are stainless steel.

Plate Frames
Put these on my Carbon Black X3. They look great and seem to be high quality.

I ordered two of the abs plastic ones. One slimline and one wide bottom and have to say for the money they're pretty good. I was debating buying a carbon black frame to match my paint but after finding these really glad I didn't waste the money

I tried several frames but none seem to fit due to interference with the backup camera. The screws won't line up on top. I went to the dealer and the parts guy even mentioned that frames won't work with X3's with backup cameras. So how are you all getting these to fit? I just want a very slim black bezel that the plate fit's into and only covers about 1/4-1/2" of the outside of the plate.

I had the fit issue so I unscrewed the plate that holds the holder. The passenger side screw had been over tightened and stipped out - now I have to ask for a new plastic nut-sert to fix it or just leave it overnight for the dealer to fix.
