Bimmer retrofit Navi
Hello!
Has anyone used bimmerretrofits retrofit kits lately. I have been thinking of ordering the CIC with NAV and Voice. Does anybodyhave any experience with these guys? I think it would come at about 2400€ but the thing that bothers me is how would I install it and code it to work. Any help? The car is a X3 f25 Thanks! |

I did the CIC upgrade form them in my 2008 E93 they were great to deal with, kit worked perfect from them - nothing but a great experience in my book - only thing you need to know is they they typically use Euro CIC units, but obviously that is what you want - for us in the US, it means we loose HD Radio (not a big deal!)

They provided instructions and were quick to answer any questions - I was pretty proficient at taking it apart and installing and it was plug and play, so I did not need a lot of help, but they seemed very eager to help if needed and even answered emails on Sunday morning!

Well worth contacting Patryk at BimmerTech - he's been a regular contributor on this forum. I did a Combox retrofit (Bluetooth + USB install with iPhone/iPod compatability) on my F25 recently (see my post). He worked wonders on my system and gave great guidance and remote coded my system from Poland.

have decided to go for this option and keep the pre LCI X3 instead of trading it in for something else.. not much in the market that I would trade it for w/o incurring significant premiums like the cayenne or x5
costs coming out at about 2200 GBP

retrofit took place last evening and yep am pleased and kicking myself at the same time for not speccing it as an option in the first place...
true i don't get the fancy instrument panel (as i only had the std business radio) but the wider screen and sat nav is pretty cool... thoroughly recommend the navtvman guys as they came from Birmingham to Berkshire, started at 7pm and finished close to 11pm... fair play dudes...
