Thanks for sharing some great pictures, Jammy! A fantastic build, and one in which you are no doubt going to forge lots of great memories. And thank you for the beautiful area shots of your town (I presume?).

Great Choice!!!!!! I would have suggested the Adaptive LEDs or Adaptive Xenons.. And i would have went for the 20" Rims and Black Interior.. However, this is a great great car and i hope you enjoy it!!

That's really nice. I really like the changes made to the front bumper on the LCI.

Thanks Jammy, your car looks great and has made me quite jealous.
Fortunately I received a very welcome call yesterday from my dealer telling me that my MSport 2.0d has now been made and should be with me during the week commencing 15th September......at last!
My order was placed early last April and like you I seem to have been waiting forever. The next two weeks are going to seem like two months - I almost feel like I'm a child again waiting for Christmas.
I look forward to posting some pictures of mine in due course.

Thanks for all your comments guys!

I know everyone says it but the M Sport REALLY does look better in the flesh - great car

Unfortunately, there are 2 minor paint imperfections that we noticed at handover (lower drivers door and boot lid) that need addressing. These were missed by the factory QC and the dealer PDI. I've been told that they are most likely due to contamination in the factory spray booth. Although they aren't obvious to the naked eye, I know they're there now.
So, after waiting 6 months for the car, I've now got to hand it back after just 10 days, for a week!

Having said that, the dealer has been very quick to rectify this and I can't fault their service.

Nice - and I agree, Msport looks so much better in the flesh.

One question - why does it have the old style gear shift? I thought they were supposed to look like this now:

I was hoping for that style. For some ridiculous reason, it's only available on the 3.0 engine even though I've got an M Sport with paddleshift!?!

Why do they put different shifters just because of the engine? Surely if anything, it'd depend on the model. i.e. M Sport.

It's the same with petrol engines. One shifter for the 28i, the other for the 35i.

Your car looks fantastic in Glacier Silver and almost identical spec that I would choose if I go for a new one. I would love to see Glacier against Titanium as silver is my favourite colour on the X3.

They've got to use up the old shifters somehow

Nice! Would have gone for 'sun protection glass' or privacy glass / drug dealer tints as it's known to normal people to finish off the look. I'm still not sure on the lc1 msport front bumper - it looks great from the full frontal shot but in the 3/4 shot it looks odd - that might be just me though!

Oyster leather is a top choice - really sets the interior off nicely.

Will have to keep an eye out for you I'm in Staffordshire and quite often nip over to Shropshire (Telford / Shrewsbury etc)

+1 ...lol

yet another great set of pics - we too love the oyster interior .. hope you get as much fun and pleasure from yours as we have had from ours.

We have an annoying small chip in middle of passenger side windscreen, sadly have to live with it..
