Thanks! I see only the ones in the rear. Did you also put them on the front?

I did and then moved the front one back because where they installed it was too close to the moon roof and it sounded like a tornado or worse. Then it would not re-lock so the dealer reordered another saying it must have been defective. I have just not put the new one on yet.

Thanks Nahoa. So far they have not ridden in it yet and I am thinking they will fit in the back without folding the seats down. How about yours?

Mud guards in the front interfering with the moon-roof? How so? Can you share a pic of that set up?

Duh! Sorry not reading close enough. I have the mud flaps on both the front and the rear and that is what I meant by saying they are not very obvious.

Awesome! Thanks for the visual.

Basically ~$300 for the mud guards and labor. Hopefully I get the $500 gift card from the X3 event I can put towards the cost of this.

Brutus1, your cross bars look beautiful! Much better than my ugly Thule ones!

Question: do these cross bars "slide" back and forth along the length of the rail without removal? When I want to move my Thule ones all the way to the back of the truck during periods of non-use, I first have to remove them completely, which is a royal pain. This is because the Thule ones are incapable of sliding past the point mid-point on the roof rail where it attaches to vehicle roof. Looks like the BMW bars have a different way of "clamping" onto the roof rail such that sliding them back and forth after some loosening will not be an issue?
