I had this issie, it was so obnoxiously loud it didn’t seem like a bmw lol. Apparently it’s common for F25. Sprayed/lubed up the rubber guides along the window. Good as new.

I had this loud squeaking noise from my driver side rear window since day one. The noise would always be there if it was raining or after a heavy rainfall. Mentioned it to the dealership at the first service, but they said there was no issue. They sprayed water on it as well, but couldn't duplicate the problem. So, they say. I drove away...tested the window and the noise was there.

2.5 years later, the noise is still there. I video recorded the noise as the window goes down and up. I tried to upload it here, but didn't work, lol.

Lubrication may work. Otherwise, you'll need to replace some of the weather stripping.

Solution is .....

Well first let me say I have had the problem and it’s only for the driver’s window.....

To fix it ,.... simply sit in the driver’s seat and close the door, lower the window fully, then begin to raise the window and push on the window glass at near the top rear area (rear refers to portion of the back of the glass at the door lock petcock) while the window is coming up after being in the fully lowered position.
You will need to apply about 20 lbs of force and you will see the window pop back into it proper resting area .
Do not be afraid to push on the window.
*note - push from inside to the vehicle toward the outside of the door.

I thought I would update this thread since I started it....

So after 3 YEARS of this same squeaking issue and the dealership saying there is no issue, my window started to stutter when opening (not sure if it's there correct terminology, but not a smooth up and down). Video recorded it just in case it stops stuttering.

Brought it into the dealer, and they said it's fixed. Picked up car, right away it was doing the same thing. I couldn't believe they told me it was fixed; so mad! Asked the technician to sit in the back seat of my car while I opened and closed the window. He heard it himself exactly what the problem was.

Anyway, he tried to talk around it saying it's kinda normal, but out of goodwill he will request for the entire weather stripping to be replaced.

After bringing it back, they finally found the real issue and also replaced the stripping. The real issue was a broken clip of some sort from within the window/door. Argh! I guess they never bothered to open up the door in the 3 years of me mentioning the issue every time it went in for service. Pure laziness from this dealership.

Greasing it likely won't work. The solution is to replace the stripping.

Funny its only the LH Window (That's the Passenger side as we drive on the UK side of the road). If I could have a $ for every time I've been told "that's normal' I would have bought
my own plane. I'll try lubing first
