question for those that have had the throttle lag fixed

I had the X3 in for service today and they did the reprogramming to fix the throttle lag issue (I brought in the service advisory to show them). The problem is, all of my iDrive particulars were deleted and the radio/acc buttons on the dash were all cleared out, so now I have to go back in and set everything like when I first got the vehicle.

Is this suppose to happen?! THe service guy is saying that it happened because of the update, but that doesn't seem right to me

Acc settings definitely disappear but you start getting other settings slowly. You can load your profile back from the saved on USB flash drive. NAv settings come back, phone contacts will appear again when you connect the phone.

Dont look at the minor negatives, be happy that you got a better software now.

Had the same thing. I'd saved my profile and reloaded it and the buttons were still lost.

Aside from that, I don't like the upgrade. Early acceleration is no far to twitchy and isn't any faster out of a stop or a slow. Could previously just press the pedal mreco get what you wanted, now modulation for traffic, surprises, etc more easily produce whiplash responses.

Everything deleted here as well.

And I had the complete opposite of Nahao; nearly constant whiplash on quick start-stop pre-update, so I had to be "one of those" 10 second stop sign drivers to make sure transmission wasn't going to bash everyone's head in the seats...

Now it's 100% smooth no matter the scenario

I lost some settings, but the fix did improve performance so I'm a happy camper.

Question for those with the throttle fix update and are now getting whiplash. After the update did you baby your X3 as if you're once again going through the "break-in" process or did you just drive normal/spirited?

Same here. The engine and tranny is already broken in, so I drove normally.
