It says at the bottom...

Double inlet. For sDrive18d X3, X3 xDrive20d and xDrive20d X4.

I wonder what it gives you exactly?

I can only assume Street Credibility/Personalisation?

Like fitting a dummy sharks fin aerial or M Sport badges to a non M Sport car.

I hate a tailpipe on one side, it makes my teeth itch when I see it, I like it nicely balanced.

But wouldn't put a double pipe on my car with a 2 litre diesel engine.

There is a thread on that. I guess it is a matter it personal taste http://x3.xbimmers.com/forums/showth...hlight=exhaust . It does not look like the stock twin exhaust. It seems to have a bigger diameter and is cut straight, not angled.

No, I would put the twin pipe on my car as many come like that anyway, I meant I wouldn't put one on which has them on either side, unless it actually gave a power gain, like this...

Agree, if it's cosmetic only it wouldn't be worth it to me. M-Sport would be another story, although I'm not a huge fan of the square exhaust...but if it sounds good and adds a bit more power I'm sold.

doesnt say anything about power increase or sound. And it seems that the bumper is a bit different. Wonder if they replace it. Maybe there will be another one M performance for the 35i soon.

The 6 cylinder-look exhaust is just a curved pipe that connects to the muffler and replaces the stock pipe with the oval exhaust outlet with a twin outlet. It's just cosmetics, so there is no impact on power or sound.

Unfortunatly BMW uses the same rear bumper for the dual and single exhaust, so as a result, the oval single exhaust looks a bit dinky in that wide cutaway of the M-sport bodykit, which suits the twin exhaust of a 35d or 35i perfectly. It's only a minor visual detail, but it bugged the hell out of me. The twin exhaust tips however filled out the huge cutaway in the the m-sport bumper pretty nicely in my case.

By the way.... that picture above with the square exhaust is wrong. I don't know why BMW posts that pic on their homepage and catalogue. It's pretty misleading

The dual m performance exhaust is going to be released this year that is why they have the image.

oh God, I've been reading it so wrong. What I understood is that for 6 cyl engines you get the same exhaust showed on the pic and for the smaller u get twin at the left side. Oh well...dreams

Yeah, that's what I heard, one of the CA's at the dealership was telling me the MSport exhaust coming out "looked like the X5 exhaust." That was over a month ago, not sure if he had seen that pic too.

I would prefer it to match the 35i exhaust on the other side and be quad but I figured that wouldn't be realistic.

According to the press release from BMW it is "designed" for the X4 35i but with some modding should be able to fit any X3 and X4. The press release sent to the dealerships said Q1 2015.
