2014 X3 Tailgate issues

Hi All,
A few months ago, my tailgate stopped working properly, the automatic function works to open but will only partially close it?

Any ideas greatly appreciated.

thanks

that means you have to replace the struts if you want it to close electronically, otherwise save a few bucks and live with closing it manually.

do you think that it is the struts as it works to open and closes about 80%?

Yes, the $350 ones are for the power operated tailgate, which sounds like what you have. The $76 ones are for the manually operated one.
