8HP Reset Adaptations??

I thought I would ask in a post since I feel like I have seen multiple opinions.

I ordered a new pan/filter and fluid for my 8hp trans and was planning on changing that, but I have seen people say to reset adaptations after and also some people say not to reset them.

So just curious which is the best and why.

DO NOT RESET TRANS ADAPTATIONS for just a fluid and pan/filter change. You risk bricking your trans. Trans adaptations should only be reset if you are either installing a new trans or a rebuilt trans since the computer needs to know it is a different trans and the clutches are all new.

@merlin82

would you mind taking TONS of pics along the way?

so the rest of us could learn the process and see all the steps you went through?

I will try to. My problem is I usually have good intentions to take pics/video, and then get excited to start and then Im almost done when I realize I forgot to take pics.
