So Pugger is at status 1200, tank at status 1100, reflected in the 'quota month' shown as 05 & 08 respectively

Where are folks being told "your car is at status 111 or 155"?
The codes are all meant to be for internal use and the understandable status is just a description of the code. We don't get an 800 number or online tracking in the UK, just whatever the dealer tells us when they can be bothered to return our calls. Fortunately, given the mammoth waiting time to delivery in the UK, taking a week to return a call and tell you that nothing has changed isn't that much of a problem

Does BMW use US week numbering, for X3 tracking or European Numbering?
Today, May 4th 2011, is in week number 19, under the US numbering.

I'm not aware that the week numbers differ but the week numbers must be those used by the factory, surely.

the week numbers may differ by a maximum of 1, depending on the radio button you select in Outlook, for example you choose to start wk 1 on either 1st Jan or 1st Monday or 1st working week of the year etc. You will find large companies operating over international boundaries will have 'a company definition' of wk 1 of each year!

Woohoo, Dealer just contacted me to say my Feb order that had gone from "on production" to "off production", has now gone back "on production", and to the original Oct delivery date.

There have been suggestions of this but as there are several people on this board due deliveries soon we should have some more evidence very soon. The picture is just not clear yet and BMW have said little publicly.

Haven't heard anything regarding the navigation (bluetooth has been mentioned previously). The only thing which is "Japan related" right now according to my dealer is the gearbox, and by popular demand the M-sport package.

My production week just slipped again - no reason given. Some more shuffling going on it seems.

Delivery delays

Ordered a 3.0D with only a few options on February 12th, since then the promised delivery date has changed six times, on one occasion by a full 3 months..

As of 5 weeks ago, my car was supposed to be built in week 20 (this week!) and delivered about 6 weeks later. I just called the dealer for an update and was told that my build has been pushed back to week 25, with 'Japan' given as the reason, so delivery is now (hopefully!) early August.

BMW are not exactly managing this situation well, I only get updates when I call the dealer to check, not really the service you expect when spending 40k..

Pretty much my experience, this is what I posted in separate thread:

Until yesterday my build week was week 19, delivery delivery week 25.

Yesterday was told the bad news, that the build week have moved and was now week 28, delivery week 35!!

The dealer told me that it changed on the 9th of May, i.e. the beginning of the 19th week! It was supposed to start production..

It's totally out of order IMO, and there's no real justification/explanation of what the hells going on!

Interesting that your build week was my build week +1 and now it is my delayed build week -1 !

What's your spec.?

I agree. I only ever found out anything about my order when I called to check or turned up at the dealer out of the blue and stood over him whilst he checked the screen. They have no proper process in place for notification of change. Maybe the delays are out of BMW's hands but communication is key and they are awful at it

You don't seem to buy an X3, you beg for it! I am frightened to ask at the moment by the latest wave of bad news.

My spec?

Bluewater paint
Standard black leather
Wave wood
Towbar
Reversing camera (not top view, I only want it for hitching up trailers)
Basic bluetooth hands free

I really didn't want anything else, I'm a 'just give me the big engine' sort of guy!

This is likely to be one of the reasons you have a big delay. This is 6NH. You can't even order it at the moment - it wasn't on the UK configurator last time I checked. They should have given you an option to upgrade to avoid the delay on this option.

Difficult to know how much of this is actually true

Got status 112 for production week 22 about 2 weeks ago. Everything still on track. Fingers crossed everything should work out fine.
