It looks like the SC to UK ship Independance II is delayed by a day. AJ Wilson originally posted WW data to show departure on 5 Sep but its now showing 6 Sep depart from Charleston. It looks a bunch of us are assuming our F25's are going to board this ship....

This is starting to get to me now so much so I have a marine tracking app on my iPhone. The Independence 2 is currently in Baltimore.

Guys, I'm new here, but here is my story, ordered on 9th Feb 2011, told my delivery would be septamber at the time. Here is the message from my Sales Consultant received the other week:

Your car has 'departed the plant' and its next stage is to show 'in transit'.

The system is currently showing that it is due to arrive with us sometime of the week of 19th September. Once on our premises it takes up to 5 working days to prepare, inspect, road test and valet the vehicle.

Taking this into account I would suggest a collection date of sometime during the week beginning 26th September.

when you put your VIN into the cargo ID, is that into the multiple IDs box? i tried that but it doesn't seem to do anything?

No, just enter it on the quick search screen next to Cargo ID and press Track. You don't need to use the multiple IDs box

Wow we all seem to tracking vessels, hoping mine is on the independence 2 as well. I have never been so interested in Marines, sea life and hoping there is a web cam on the docks. Is anyone else having trouble with the quick tracking. I don't always get the track search button.

It's annoying how half the people can't find them on WW. No idea why. Double check they've given you a valid VIN if you haven't already. Make sure 0s are 0s not Os and vice versa http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vehicle...it_calculation

now that the cars are starting to come in, anyone thought about gap or "return to invoice" insurance? bmw quoted 600 quid for 3 years but click4gap is around 300...

With it being so rare market value should already be above purchase price (lol) especially after all the Market research we do for them! Declined their kind offer on value for money basis.

Don't be too sure about that, I'm currently trying to sell my first F25 X3 and the prices from the dealers are poor. Will be selling mine privately soon.

slightly OOT - but does the car come with breakdown cover and if so, does it cover europe? am planning a roadtrip for Oct if the x3 does arrive but can't seem to find out on their website if breakdown cover is included. I thought it did but not sure about european cover.

Yes - EU breakdown cover is included. I too, am planning a NL drive soon after delivery in October.

Gutted, checked if my car is on the Independence II nothing found looks like Manon is the next option. The wait goes on, my poor car is sat on a dock in Charleston. Has anyone else got an update or does it take a couple of days to update the system?

The Independence 2 has not docked in Charleston yet so it could still be on that one....
