New X4 owner - disabling all the startup chimes?
I just picked up my 2018 X4 yesterday, so my apologies if I'm missing something obvious. When I hop in the car and turn the ignition on, it's a veritable symphony of various startup chimes that all play through the factory radio.
Is there a way to disable all of these? I assume one is for the seat belt and the other might be a temp warning (it's freezing out) but they are loud as hell and don't seem to correspond to the radio volume. They're something that I myself could ignore, but any time I bring a sleeping newborn into the car (my wife is 9 months pregnant) it's most certainly going to wake up. How do I go about disabling these, or at the very least lowering the volume? Thanks! |

Ask your SA for a local source to do coding. Warning tones and screens can be disabled among other helpful and preferred changes. D

You can visit the coding forum online. There are also people who can do remote coding sessions, like Almaretto |

I've done some digging around, and I think the "Gong/PDC" volume is what I'm looking to set. If I grab the radio volume knob when it's going off (right when I start the car) the volume display switches to Gong/PDC, but unfortunately twirling the knob doesn't raise or lower it.

I got my local coding name from my sales assistant. Worked for me. YMMV
