2014 X3 M-Sport 35i In My Hands

It has everything I wanted except the Camera Package, which is something I ordered but got omitted. I will just learn to park better without the camera package, all my other larger cars have it. The DHP is WELL WORTH IT! Now that I have owned two X3 35is, the DHP is a must, my last one did not have it and I really like it. I also REALLY LOVE the new Black Panel display which is what my GT has in it too.

Thank You! After driving it most of the day I've realized that I don't really need the camera or sensor package anyway. It drives like a dream!

Nice! I should have waited a month for mine to get the '14. But still really like mine.

Overall I am very happy that my advisor recommended going with a 2014, For instance I really like the new navigation system and I really like the black-panel display that comes with the new tech package. I sort of wish that I got the rearview camera package but overall I don't think I will visit that much.

Congrats on the new car, there is something really special about how the material feels when they are brand new from the factory...

Very jealous about the new instrument cluster, noticed it is black panel all the way to the left.

Could you show us what sort of info is displayed there?

Super nice! Looks great in white.
Here in Europe I would not have accepted it without the camera - it really helps in tight places.

Beautiful car osxcode. Very nice indeed.

Did BMW compensate you for cocking up your order?

Whats different about the new nav other than a faster processor etc - does the nav itself actually function/look/feel any different to last years?

I hate to say it, but I am going to take it back to the dealer and reorder exactly what I wanted. I park in a very small space at my home (tiny garage) and I park in a very tight garage at my office, Im not happy. I need the cameras and Im not going to live without them. It's such a shame, the X3 is exactly what I wanted outside of missing the sensors and cameras. I paid a good ton of money for this so I think I am right to get exactly what I wanted. Stupid me for coming home yesterday in something I knew I wouldn't be happy with.

Let us know how it goes. I would be really mad if BMW messed up my order. I hope they look after you.

Beautiful car inside and out! I love the camera on my X3 35i, it is so convenient for parking in tight spots and backing out. I would raise hell with the dealer. Go to the GM and bypass everyone else. You will get better results. Enjoy!!

I didn't have to hassle with anything, they just took care of me the right way and very quickly got the new production number, I feel so relieved. Hopefully it will not be an outrageous wait for the new vehicle.

Excellent news. It's not all about the product, but how the company looks after you so they have done well it seems.

What happens in the mean time - do you keep the one you have just picked up until the new one arrives, or did you have to give it back and take a loan car?

I too would be interested in a comparison between the X5M and the X3 when you've had enough seat-time with the X3.

I had an X3 3.5i for a year, sold it to my mother, and ordered this new white X3 with the M-Sport fashion. The X3 is my favorite car out of all of my cars. The X5M is a fantastic ride, but really, really not my favorite. The X5M has a mega-ton of power and requires that you tow a gas station. That said, the X5M is like front row seats to the opera or something. You really pay for the premium. I really like the X3 and think its overall a much better car and value for the money. X3 is much more nimble and fun to bounce around town in. I feel like such an asshole driving the X5M, it's just menacing but it's fantastic on a road trip. That said, I can't wait to replace the X5M with a 750li or 750i

I really don't want another M, ever. I don't think I get the most use out of it, it's too much engine for me (the normal 550 is just fine) and it's grossly expensive to insure and maintain. On the X5M, if you keep it, you would want the tire warranty for sure. They're expensive.

Both X5M and X3 3.5 are fantastic, but ask anyone who knows me, the X3 is probably my most favorite car of my cars -- with the 550i M-Sport sedan having a very very close second, that's just a fantastically built car also.
