should I order now, or wait to order a 2012?

It's now June. I've not pulled the trigger. Should I place an order or wait until the fall and order a 2012?

should I try to find a rig on a lot somewhere?

thoughts?

I'm waiting. Unless there's exactly what you wan on the lot and they're prepared to discount it, I would wait.

It depends on how soon you want a new ride.
Nobody knows exactly when 2012’s will be delivered, what options they will have or what pricing will be.

The only thing that tempted me to wait was to avoid the first year bugs. After reading this and other forums for a couple of months, I came to the conclusion that it is safe to order one.

It depends if you are getting the 28i or the 35i. If you want the 28i and want the N52, order now. If you want the 28i with N20, thats 2012 and on. If you want 35i with N55, then I'd wait. They're bound to change up the packaging options, they usually do every year (at least in Canada), and they may even put in the black panel display.

I'm considering buying one, but I'm holding off for the time being. I might even wait until 2013, or the LCI. Only because I'm about to go into grad school at the University of Minnesota for Dentistry, and don't want to take on unnecessary debt. I'm going to keep my current vehicle (Nissan Xterra) until it has 6 months of warranty left, and then trade it.

I wonder what the mpg will be with the N20. I was looking at the N52 for the reliability aspects.

currently, we have a 2004 E83 (X3) with over 130k on it. Have had it since new. Am wondering when to pull the trigger to upgrade. Maybe wait? who knows. the 04 X3 still drives great! I just know that sooner or later, a transmission or a sunroof will fail and it won't be exciting to replace in my older rig.
