Unhappy 2019 X3 and iPhone Lose Pairing WAY TOO OFTEN

My iPhone 14 Pro (iOS 17.3.1) and my 2019 X3 lose pairing way too often. I don't exactly know exactly how often because I seldom make or receive calls while driving. But about 50% of the time when I try to make a call I find out that my phone is not paired. And it is a real PITA to fix. I have to tell the car to forget everything it knows about the phone and tell the phone to forget everything it knows about the car, power down/up the phone and turn off and then on the car.

Of course I have no way to know if the loss is the car's fault or the phone's fault.

I have searched here (for "pairing") and have not found any posts on this subject. Is no one else experiencing this? I'd very much appreciate some feedback.

Thanks, Bob

Usually, it's because the iPhone loses mobile signal (4G, 5G).

You can try disabling Bluetooth and WiFi on your X3 and then re-enable it. With this procedure, you will reset the connection with your iPhone, which often it's enough to reconnect successfully.
