Only a couple minor "issues" that I have. One is the lift gate height setting sometimes will reset itself to the maximum height. This is a problem because my garage door when open is too low to allow the lift gate to open fully. The lift gate setting has reset several times and twice I missed that it was opening all the way! Ended up with minor scratches on the lift gate.

Other more minor gripe is that the suspension resets to "normal" every time the car is turned off. I prefer driving in Sport and would like it if the setting would remember where I left it.

That's about it.
Ah cool, maybe I did see your car if you ever parked in downtown bellevue across from city hall once? yeah that sucks about having to reset sport mode everytime... didn't know that.

3 more X3's just came in yesterday to our local dealer, unfortunately not mine yet... How long did it take to get yours after it shipped? They are telling me 3 to 4 weeks to get here which seems like a long time to get across the US, I guess it's just sitting waiting in Oxnard till more orders come this way.

I haven't seen any lately but just before I ordered mine I saw one almost every week. As more come in, I'm sure I'll start seeing more and more especially around Bellevue where it seems every other car on the street is an X5, Q5 or Lexus...

I think I've seen another forum member here driving around twice... Apline White

White one today on an offramp. We both turned at the same time, thumbs came up, and his passenger started laughing.

I live in So. Cal. San Fernando Valley and I've only seen 2 so far not that many X3's on the road.

I love that. Fun!!

Somehow that reminds me of my first cars and being a teenager. What I woulda done for a car like this!! Power, handling, sound, comfort, and folding back seats with a panoramic moon roof . . . oh, yeah! Hmm, I feel a sudden need to buy wine coolers .. . .

guys, had it for over 2 months now and still have seen no more than 5. they are still and will still be quite uncommon for the next year or so. I see way more Q5's and GLK's in the Birmingham, Alabama than I do the X3. It's such a cool feeling with the knowledge that you are the only one on the road most of the time with a new X3. I hope it sells well, but stays a more uncommon BMW vehicle.

These are the ones I've seen so far:

-1 Black Sapphire 28i
-1 Jet Black (excluding my own) 28i
-1 Arctic White 35i
-1 Space Gray 35i
-1 Vermillion Red 28i

-3 of the 5 have been without the Sport Activity Package which seems to be more uncommon.

Spotted a Silver X3 at Stresham services M50 junction (the worst m/way of any journey back to Cardiff)

I was driving a long based transit and parked up next to it to get a good look at it, the owner looked a bit bemused as I pulled alongside.
It had the standard alloys on it which looked better than I thought they would had Oyster leather standard sat. The owner was obviously proud, showed me the Xenon's which looked great. He waited 6 months and had only taken delivery 2 days earlier. You could have guessed this as he drove away, never seen anyone as careful leaving a parking spot.

Great effort and detailed sighting! I'm still on 3 in total. Poor.

This is really spooky...I've seen the same mineral silver x3 on 3 separate occasions at the same location driving on the opposite side at 3 entirely different times on 3 different dates!!!!

Either I'm hallucinating or my subconscious is playing tricks on me as I await mine.

Before anyone asks the location is the Kelham Bridge (A617) and no there isn't a dealer atleast 15 miles either side

Took a good look as a MS today with std wheels parked at Daylesford Farm Shop. IMO the MS looked much better than the last one I followed on the M40 when it looked very gold. Today the colour/light was great and the trim combo looked good too. It appears that MS 'looks' different depending on the light/ambient condtions?

I have a Mineral Silver and it definitly changes colors depending on the light! When it is raining or grey out, it pulls a champagne color. When it is bright and sunny, the gold hue goes away and it pulls a more silver tone and the metallic paint really shows up. I love it best on sunny days

Having seen several models with std wheels now, maybe wishful thinking (I cant justify another £1K+ to improve looks only and lessen the ride) but IMO they look very acceptable for std fit, especially on light body colours. I have yet to see them on darker colours. I notice the std 17" for the US market are different to EU/ROW?

I agree; the 17s I've seen look fine and I don't think I'm only justifying my own choice. Well, maybe a little but they do look perfectly OK IMO.

Think I might have seen a black X3 northbound on the Washington Highway yesterday (or was it Friday?). I say 'think' as I have trouble spotting them at the best of times but I was doing 80 or so southbound and the X3 was going a fair lick in the opposite direction towards the town centre. Couldn't have been you, mjjc1972, could it?

They're breeding like rabbits in Chicago! In the last week I've seen a black one, a white one, a gray one, and a silver one. I suspect they will be pretty common soon here.

Alpine White at 6:30ish today going anti-clock on the M25 just past M23 junction. Was it an XBimmer member???

That is the only one I've seen for weeks. Spent the weekend in Paris and racked up 400 miles in France altogether and didn't see any at all. Loads of old X3s over there, and loads of Q5s - very common. The car behind us in our car park was an X5 M Sport and the X3 didn't look too small up against it

I'd say that the X3 actually looks bigger in the first shot.
