what kinda MPG'S are sdrive x3 owners getting? doing pcd on mine this monday.

hey i was just curious. but what kinda gas mileage are y'all sdrive x3 owners getting? picking mine up this Monday at the pc and was just curious bout it. always got well over sticker rating in my x1 and very curious to see what my x3 will be getting. so freakin excited i can hardly wait. it feels like the wait has been forever and with my excitement these last couple of days till pcd seem like the longest of them all. lol. couldn't imagine the wait in Europe. i would go nuts lol. anyways looking forward to hearing what folks are getting.

I'm getting 19.8 MPG for my 2015 X3 28i but I am a spirited driver so that contributes a lot to lower MPG.

I was sitting at 44.2mpg on my tuned 20d xDrive.

However, reset it at service and have only done short trips since then and now sitting at 39 but slowly climbing again.

24 / 25

Our 2011 x3 3.5i automatic gets between 24 and 25mpg generally. That's a mix of rural and light city driving. Mix of me and my wife, who stomps it out of every light and stop sign.
I drove back roads from the lake recently and got 30 on a 1 hour drive, but that was *trying* to get the best mileage possible.
Alternatively, we have a 2007 335i manual that has the same engine. It gets about 28-29 mpg (lighter, 2wd, more aerodynamic, no torque converter parasitic loss).

Driving my 2015 xDrive 28i (2.0T) over it's first few tanks of fuel I have averaged about 19 mpg ... Not great, but not terrible, either. Mostly busy suburban w/ about 20% highway and about 20% actual city driving. I don't drive with a heavy foot, but I don't drive with a light foot, either.

One observation I made is that the car uses a LOT more gas before it's warmed up (like 30-50% more) so if you do a lot of short trips and don't let the engine warm up, your mileage will be drastically affected. Every car does this to some extent, but I find the effect pronounced with the X3. I do quite a few short drives (maybe 1/4 of all driving) so that's definitely a factor. It also takes a LONG time (20 minutes or so) to fully warm it up driving on a cold day.

I have no s drive, but x drive (petrol engine).

I have only driven 390 km so far, and the computer indicates an average of 9,6 liters per 100 km, which means 24,5 MPG.
I have driven mainly in the city and with low rpm.
When I picked the car up from the dealer and was driving it home on the freeway (140 km trip) with maximum speed of 130 kmh (80 mph) and strong headwinds it indicated over 14 l /100km ! (16,8 MPG).... .
At some points the automatic gearbox even geared down from 8 to 7th gear to maintain the speed..... I think the road was also slightly going uphill at that moment.
