I didn't know that. How can i code halos to remain at 100% instead of dimming with headlamps? I have a 2017 X3 with adaptive LED lighting package here in Texas. Please let me know how to code this.

Thanks

Need Help

I have a 2016 X4M40i and want to recode some of the items. I bought the yellow cable from the guy on Ebay who says he is the largest seller and I got a link for a "E Sys" program and PsdZDat version 59.4.

I've now spent a couple weeks reading everything I can find but sti don't understand enough to try this myself. I don't know what "VO" means or other terms used. I don't feel knowledgeable enough to do this alone and certainly don't want to brick the car.

Is there anyone in the Tampa FL area that can help me get started. I'd gladly compensate you if needed. Please PM me or email me at bmwpc at cs dot com.

Thanks

I coded my wife's X3 this weekend after coding my F30 and to be frank, it's not difficult at all. If you have a good guide, follow it to a tee and you should be fine.

Is the 'full back up' procedure in the first post still 100% correct?

Given that it is 2-4 years old, I want to verify that is still all you need to do to back up your original config before starting to code.

I currently have a Sept 2014 F25 and have successfully coded it, but have a new F25 on order with build due soon and delivery due in December

E-Sys version 3.23.4b(build 36359)
psdzdata version 53.5

Do I need a newer version of E-Sys or psdzdata or will the older version still work?

Thank you

From my Getting Started Guide:
  • E-sys Vehicle Files Backup:
    • CAFDS or NCD's:
      • “Reading Coding Data” (automatically) → processed car data in the form of an *.ncd's file (C:\data\CAF).
      • Prior to saving FDL-editor changes or “Reading Coding Data,” move or copy these files to another location; otherwise, files with the same name will be overwritten
      • Though, VO Coding is what is used to revert changes back to factory
    • Fahrzeugauftrag (FA) & Software Variant Table (SVT) Tree
      • FA's (C:\data\FA) & SVT's (C:\data\SVT), comparatively, must be manually saved after read from vehicle. So, the only risk of overwriting them is if you select "Save" and use same name.
      • FA's only change if you write FA changes to Vehicle Configuration Management (VCM) & SVT if vehicle is flash programmed to higher I-Step.
      • You only need backup if you want to load offline for some reason.

FEM_BODY

I have coded my F22 M235i previously and tried to do same to my F25 X3.

I can't find the FEM_BODY module for F25 though. I was looking for the functions that turns off the radio when door is opened (TCM_LOGIC_R_OFF_DOOR) and to change the number of indicator blinks on indicator touch (Blinkzyklen_anzahl_tip).

F25 shares ECU's with an F10. Look in FRM and CAS.

Fem_Body only found in F20/ F30/ F80.

F25 has CAS and FRM for those functions instead of FEM_BODY, although it is TC_LOGIC_KLR_OFF_DOOR in CAS and coding Blinkzyklen_anzahl_tip in FRM does not work.

thanks, that worked fine. Strange that there is no way to change the number of indicator blinks on these models.
