Thanks, I'll have to look into the coding when I get mine.

Definitely some neat hidden features that can be enabled by coding.

I think I've done most that were listed on the cheat sheet.

Thanks, will give it a shot when I get home.

I tried the Ediabas Toolkit with F01.prg and it hung also. It seems to get a run-time error. Just sits after trying to open the file. Any ideas?

No, I don't. It works on F10 and F30. I'm not sure why F25 would be any different.

I read about it online and think it was because I ran Tool32 in Windows 7, but not as administrator. I suspect that was the problem. Make sure you run Tool32.exe as administrator (not just by double clicking file).

Still reading about coding and playing with software. I actually don't have the cable yet (on order). I don't want to screw anything up. Sincere thanks to Shawn Sheridan for all of the support on the forums. He seems to always be helping others and a great asset to the BMW community.

Coding still seems pretty daunting to me - perhaps it's my lack of German

You wrote you tested it and it hung, but now you wrote you have no cable?

Were you borrowing one?

Sorry, I've been testing running the software (no cable yet) and opening menus, etc. When you run Tool32 by double clicking the file and then hit F3 and then press F01.prg it just spins the circle and does not go any further..... However, if you run it as administrator it has no problem. I think it's a unique problem to Windows 7.

I'm trying to look through every parameter and all information before I get the cable and connect to my car. I'm pretty scared of f*^$ing something up.

Thanks!

I'm having troubles getting the targets to populate when connecting to the car. I have the dist folders. My chassis folders are a little different numbered. I have SWE in Esysdata and psdzdata populated.

Anything else I'm missing?

SWE folder should be empty, unless you just want to waste 20 gb.

Which PSdZdata are you using?

So the only PSdZData you have is this folder

C:\ESysData\psdzdata

And this folder is nothing but 48.1, that you copied to C:\ESysData\ folder?

The original download and the Esysdata folders were 100MB off. I'm deleting the folder, replacing it with the original download, and will give that a shot. Unfortunately, the computer is old and low on space so I put that folder on an SD card and it will take an hour or two to pull to the hard drive.

I'm getting an error when i click "connect" on E-sys:

Set PSdZ-Root using "C:\ESysData" failed! [C073]

I've searched the forum and it seems related to the psdzdata being corrupt. Could someone please give me the link to the psdzdata? I've already downloaded this via usenet. I don't want to download from there again as the files may have been corrupt. Thanks in advance....

You can't receive any PM's presumably because of your low Post count. Post up your email if you want the link.

I am making a specific Updated F25 Cheat Sheet. I am posting it here for everyone.
Its based on April1's sheet and many other ones I found on the internet and things I have tried.
If anyone want to use it and contribute please check it out.
I think it may be handy and that we can all chip in to see exactly what we can do.
