Are you certain the price cannot change? Usually there is the small print that confirms price is subject to fluctuate.

If the price is increased by BMW before your production date you have to pay up or pull out and take your £1,000 deposit to Audi. As the UK price has not increased for nearly 12 months you can be sure an increase before May '12 is likely.

Because of the ridiculous UK leadtimes my dealer tells me BMW have agreed to honour 2011 prices for 2012 cars. Normally this is not the case, but nor are similar ledtimes. I have a signed and executed credit sale agreement: If they vary I can cancel, no questions.

A much more important question is 3.5D vs. 3.0D...

As Homer would say, Mmmmmmm.....

I am tempted. Very tempted.

Here in Australia the question is a little acadamic - at this stage BMW Oz are not bringing the 35D in. But even so, apart from bragging rights I can't see the value in the 35D over the 30D. I see from the BMW UK website, the 35D is 2,200-2,600 pds more expensive, yet it only reduces the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) time over the 30d from 6.2 to 5.8 sec. With the 20d's time of 8.5 seconds, I can certainly justify the 30d over the 20d - not so sure about the 35d over the 30d.

Usually the high spec engine and price means BMW also increase the standard spec but you probably need to look hard to find it - maybe 19" as std?

My 35D M Sport should be here in December, this new engine is something else, the guys at my Dealers test drove one in spain and said it is mental quick for an SUV.
