I can't believe it. My X3 has already developed the issue that still plagues my 1 Series and pretty much every other BMW- creaking windows!! How can they still not have engineered a fix for this?

For those whom have had the pleasure of not experiencing this issue on BMWs it's something to do with the seals around the doors/windows moving with friction against the bodywork when the windows are closed and causing an irritating creaking sound inches from your ear.

Has anyone had and fixed this on the F25? Waxing the bodywork where the door seals meet it used to be the first port of call...

<sigh>

I used to use some dry silicon thingy on my e46, no problems with my e90 the last 5 years (so I don't recall what I used to use) I did a google search and found something promising.

I'm wondering if this, by conditioning the rubber also acts as a lubricant too.

My ex three and my 550 sedan both do this creaking noise all you have to do is clean the sills without any cleaner just used it warm rag and then wipe them with a dry cloth. Don't use any silicone on it or you will have a problem the squeaking will never go away, just clean the sills.
