yeah - sorry about the bins - thats the neighbours for you.. Trouble about white is that you see a speck of dirt but think its a scrape or dent..... a grey car is going to be less worrying for you I assure you.. However, when white is clean it looks great !!

Nice spec. IMO I agree with TLU all white does not need or look quite right with X line. Comment about the background to members car pics are common! Its the details that raise questions, but not the car!

Just in case anyone is thinking the along the same line. I just changed my (June) order from a 3.0 SE to a 3.0 M-Sport and the date changed from 3rd week in Dec to 3rd Week in Jan. I knoew there would be a risk, but it just shows its not too bad of a date difference. Hopefully it will come forward a bit, but hey, I decided I really wanted the M-Sport after all

Congrats! I had a great run home from Slough to Leeds tonight - peeing it down with rain for most of the 200+ miles and the X3 just smashed through the puddles. Rock solid, safe. A world of difference to the coupes I've had in the past where I used to dread rain.

Got the car back from the dealer. They have resprayed the lower part of the tailgate - up to the crease line above the number plate recess. TBH you wouldn't know it has been done, apart from they typical bodyshop smell in the car, which is now starting to weaken, and a hint of the new car aroma is returning..

I have also fitted a top of rear bumber protection film, dead easy to do if your thinking about it... http://www.invisiblepatterns.co.uk/t...tion-film.html

All positive so far, although only driven it home from the dealer and nipped out to get a take away. Love the stars in the sky when the nav is in night mode.....

Congrats Washy and welcome to the club ... but you know the score by now. I'd taken my first pic before I'd even signed for delivery

sigh.. had a scrape this morning... scratched the rear door as well as the xline pack on the front and rear doors...

trying to buff and polish out the scratches on the door but the xline pack bits look like it may have to be replaced... guess i better get onto realoem and find out what bits i need/order from bmw...

knew i should have just stayed home today, instead i decided to take the recycling out to the bins...

I know bad form on my part. I still havent managed to take any either and Mrs W has brought it back covered in flies. Really do wonder if black was a good idea.
I promise I will resolve this tomorrow...

Give us the full low down on economy fit and finish as soon as you finish driving it.

The build quality is light years better than my MINI and the trip is showing 36mpg, but I doubt Mrs W will have hammered it...

Will post more impressions when I have had a propper go in it.

I think this new production line which opened 1st October has improved production times.
