OEM X5 Wheels

Does anybody know if OEM X5 wheels will fit the X3? I like the style 214 rim and think it may look good on the M Sport but I'm not sure. Has anyone done it?

I was told by the SA the offset will not fit our X3 brakes.

From an old post by Lotus7:

Basic wheel specifications for the X3(F25) chassis are:
Bolt Circle = 5 X 120mm
Offset = 45mm (43 to 47mm acceptable)
Hub centering Bore = 72.5 mm (hub ring dia. = 72.47mm)
Bolts = M14X1.25 Spherical seat, 17 mm heads (Note the X3(E83) uses M14X1.5 bolts)
Minimum bolt engagement = 9.5 turns

Ah perfect. I don't suppose Lotus7 posted the same specs for the X5?

google

Front alloy wheels: 20x10" ET40
Wheel part number: BMW 36116772249

Rear alloy wheels: 20x11" ET37
Wheel part number: BMW 36116782916

e90post has a wheel size calculator on its Wheels/Tires section and here is what it says:

" 16mm LESS clearance on the strut side, and the outside edge of the wheel will EXTEND an extra 22mm"

So I may be able to use a ~5mm spacer and a hub ring to get them to fit, but they may stick out an extra inch from where they do now. I'll have to look and see where the stock wheels stick out to and see if an extra inch will look good or if it will stick out from the fender too far.

I think the hub centering bore is bigger on the current X5 but the previous X5 wheels fit, I have them on mine for winter

Yes, I would need a ring for the hub.
