Need help choosing between two F25

Going to buy an used F25 I found two car not too far fom where I live both from 2015.
One has 110k km (around 68k miles) the other has 160k km (around 99k).
I make just 5k km a year (3k miles) so mileage is not really a problem for me since i would buy another car before this one needs to be changed or dies.

Normally I would choose the 68k miles one but the 99k miles one cost 4k euros less than the other one.

Would like to know your opinions.

Have you seen and driven both? That would probably be a good way to start. Used cars vary greatly in condition (cosmetical and mechanical).

Mileage alone is not that important in most cases. Lots of highway miles is way easier on a car than fewer short trips.

Will go to see them this weekend since I'm busy at work.

Both seller said that they had regular check every 15k km (9k miles) but yes I first need to see them.

Do you think both mileages are not an issue?

Having just went through this decision, here are my thoughts. BTW, i also drive 5K miles/yr.

I went with 2011-2012 x28i. N52 engine is bulletproof, and i can do most other maintenance at home.

If you are dead set on later model or dont do your own maintenance, I'd go with the lower mileage example. stuff starts to break at the 100k mark...suspension, random oil leaks, water pump/thermostat, etc.

Get a PPI if you aren't sure.

These cars should be reliable enough to keep going for much longer. Mine (N52 straight 6) has almost 140.000 miles. Of course, you may have to change suspension bushes, etc at some point, but mechanically they should be able to handle much higher mileage. Again, the mechanical parts suffer much more when doing lots of short trips compared to long-distance cruising.

As paranoidandroid mentioned, a pre-purchase inspection by a good mechanic will help you understand which issues may need to be addressed.

In bocca al lupo! Buona fine settimana

Hi, for some reason I didn't get the notification.

Ended up choosing the 160k km one.

As strange as it may sound it was in WAY better conditions, had 157k km instead of 160k.

All the services done and documented while the other one had less km (120k at the end and not 110k and was also from Dec 2014 instead of 2015) but also 3 previous owners and service where not all documented.

Will get my car in 3 days and I can't wait

Very happy for you! That's why I suggested seeing both. You often get the 'I feel good about this one' feeling when comparing vehicles that look similar on paper.

Enjoy the new ride and share some pictures!
