Moving on

So by the time I swap I'll be just over the three year point, and probably over 50k miles in my 3.0d m sport.

It's been a cracking car, no real warranty issues (apart from corroding wheels all being replaced).

Have loved the tech in respect of the Nav/HUD/LED lights, car looks as new despite the 50k miles.

I'm actually moving away from Bmw this time, after 4 BMW's on the trot over 11 years.

Forum has been invaluable thank you

Pretty much the same experience with my one

All four wheels replaced under warranty but otherwise faultless

I've done 40k and apart from a few stonechips the exterior is as new

The interior has stood up remarkably well considering its beige
It's a cracking car . .. just mulling over whether to keep it or move on

What are you going too Andy ?

3 years for me too. I've just bought my 35D....new wheels here too. Mine's only only done 26k as I work from home home so I've no daily commute.

Mines got oyster leather and still looks in good nick despite me not cleaning the leather that often 😂

Decided to push the boat out a bit this time, so ordered a Macan GTS for may delivery, quite unusual just paying list price, there is zero discounting.

Macan is what I wanted but I could not justify the $20K more than I paid for the BMW. I quite like my BMW but I'm keen to experience the Macan, in spite of Porsche dreadful reputation for SUV repair costs.

Well done, enjoy your excellent choice.
I m onto my 3rd x3, awaiting G01.
Life is too short to drive the same thing.
Pcar likely is a better drive whereas bmw has more electronic safety stuff.
Each chose their defining moment.

Definitely a difference in the technology, bmw package seems to be a lot better. I'm disappointed there's no HUD available in the macan it's possibly the favourite option I specced.
