NEW-X3/PAS interior shots!!!!

Courtesy of Mark E90M3 here are some shots of the new 2nd Gen I-drive being tested on either the new X3 or PAS interior!!!!

My guess is the new PAS as the seats are high qual Nasca leather and the steering wheel is from the 5er- yet the vents and other things remind me of an X3 so it would seem to be a hybrid of the two.......thus I think it's the new Progressive Activity Sedan (PAS)........

I posted on this forum first as it seems the number of people viewing the F10 and X forums is well, rather weak.......

Cheers.....

Looking good! The switchgear and buttons look inherited from the new 7 series. Not really feeling the granite trim around the air vents, doesn't look properly finished.

Thanks for posting these!

Sorry to disagree on this one...

- do not like the marble-ish trim
- do not like the design of the center front speaker
- do not like the cup holders, with all the space around them
- do not like the doors ! they seem to mimic the American cars, simply disgusting...

OK all the rest is OK

funny... it's a current X3 with a new X3's interior.

i'm not crazy about it. looks like a mix between an X5 and a Chrysler 300C. i'll have to wait to see better images of it.

i'm also not crazy about the gear select lever. leave me with my current choice, please.

Dual-zone climate control would be a welcome feature in the X3 since it has been out in the e90 since 2006. Why not catch the models up when they get a refresh rather than a redesign?

Except for the granite trim I like it a lot. Would look better with the silver trim or the wood

this feature probably can't be added into the current platform. the X3 is based on the E46 3-series, so it's really out of date (figure, the next X3 will be based on the E-90 3 series, debuting in 2010 , with the next 3-series, F-30 debuting in 2011, according to BMW). BMW had the opportunity to add this functionality in 2007, with the refresh of the vehicle, where they added the N52 engine, along with revised interiors and exterior, and didn't. they probably can't add it, or if they could, it wouldn't attract enough new buyers to justify the cost.
