Talking Pinging - SOLVED

Last 3 weeks I have been dealing with pinging on my wife's 09 X3 (N52 engine), I just did a smoke test thinking that I got a leak but the test returned a non-faulty system, sealed 100%. Well just replaced all 6 ignition coils with new DELPHI coils and the pinging was still present. Then replaced the original BOSCH spark plugs with NGK platinum spark plugs and now the X3 is back to normal again, no more pinging and with an increased power to accelerate and a very good idle. Just to let you know, if you are dealing with pinging on the N52, first attack the spark plugs.
