Winter Tires

I was at Costco earlier today and got quotes for winter tires for both my rides.

235/50 - 18 BLIZZAK DM-V2 for X4 and
225/40 - 18 Blizzak WS-80 for 335d

Any thoughts on DM-v2. Tirerack is suggesting these tires as well. Never heard of them before. How do they compare with WS-80? I am thinking 235 coz they are narrower than stock setup.

No responses... can someone comment on tire sizes atleast? Is 235 narrow enough? I was thinking of 225.

No response. This is not a particularly active/responsive forum in all respects. I think it's a function of interest and, perhaps, lack of a definitive opinion on matters posed.

Not sure about "narrow enough" question. I wonder how the 225's would look on the x4. I'm getting 245/50 for mine.

mine are 245 and I thought they were fine. So yes 235 should be narrow enough for you.
