Drove the Macan again after 2 years slight minor improvements its only half a step better than the X4 handling wise, material still good their entertainment slightly improved over the the previous not near as good as idrive. Next X4 looks 2 years away at least!

I cross-shopped the F-Pace before buying my m40i (as much as I could anyway- I couldn't test-drive one at the time) but it checked a lot of boxes for me, especially the choice of engines, panoramic roof and the larger trunk/boot. However, I've read some accounts on Jaguar forums that indicate- like with Porsche- there are little or no discounts to be had and availability is a problem. I also worry about reliability. I hear Jag has made serious efforts to overcome past reliability issues but it is still a concern for me, especially without free maintenance.

Am set for a test drive next week but initial view after sitting in one is the cutting of corners and cheap hard plastic even on the dash, faux leather like the rav4. We complain on our hard plastics on our x4/3 but this jag is even below than. However its a very good looking vehicle if you don't pay attention to that but was surprised in the rear seat with the panorama my head touches the ceiling and in the X4 not.(Am 6'3") Curious to see ride quality and handling.

The completely new X3 comes next year. A better platform, lighter and better materials. Updated engines from 3 series (*30i, 40i). It should be so good.

Anyone test-drove the F-Pace yet?

I know PIEZON had the Macan so he can share his review on it and he also has an X3 35i

BMW X3M or X4M for me....
I'll look at the GLC 43 & 63AMG too as well as the new SQ5 when it arrives... The sound of the GLC 63AMG is so intoxicating though and i've always wanted a V8.
There are so many good choices in this segment now. :-)

Test drove the GLC. Not very impressed with it. Typical wifey car like the Q5. Maybe the coupe will be different. Have a friend who works at MB in NJ who said that X4 was better (off the record). Will wait to see. Expected release early 2017.
