BMW X4 Parts Patent Drawings Show Body Panels and Lights

COMMENTS

The patent drawings for the upcoming X4 SAV have been revealed and they preview many body panels, as well as headlights and tail lights.

The front bumper pictured in the diagrams may be an M Sport bumper as it features much larger air intakes than those seen on recent standard model X4 prototypes.

And while the production X4 will lose the hexagonal corona lights of the X4 Concept, the diagrams show that the X4 will receive a full adaptive LED headlight option (figure 3.2).

No, they just like adding them on the LCI so you have a Reason to upgrade
Getting old id you ask me. It's like they are scared to do something new.

Ugh, just do away with halogens altogether. It is ridiculous that xenons are not a standard feature in a luxury german car. I guess I just answered this in that statement for myself...

You are not the first to say this and you will not be the last.

Yeah, right. That's why the i8 has laser lights. LED is obsolete, go with the laser! Buy an Audi if you want leds. Halogen is nonsense nevertheless.

halogen lighting options keep the entry price down. it allows them to say the car is ~$1000 cheaper.

I'm not saying they are scared of trying new technologies. What I meant was that they are scared to change their old ways of, "here for the first 3 year we offer halogens, then the 3 after you can have LED lights." Just give us the damn LEDs from the begging and come up with something new to do a face lift with.

A quick render of the Production X4 based on the parts we see in these images.

I am sure there will be a Sport Line, X-Line and the M-Sport Line offerings for the X4 lineup I am not sure what line this is...

The different lines could change the look of the grilles you see in these renderings... but these are the general shapes.

Fact of the matter is there are around 70% of BMW owners out there who don't care what color there headlights are.. As long as they light the road better than there previous car they will be happy. I believe this is why BMW sacrifices ego with reality ... More affordable with same drivability. (Daytime)
