Have new car with factory fitted tow bar. However the pin to feed fridge and battery is a dealer fit. On my last X3 the pin was only live when alternator was charging. On new car it is live all the time, engine running or not. Allegedly if the car battery becomes low the car will stop feeding the pin before the car battery flattens too much to start the car.
Anyone any views or experience of this as I am nervous of this set up.
