Black vs Silver Grill on Space Grey M-Sport

I love the look of the black with the chrome surround on the black X3 and think it would look good on a grey car too.

I hadn't realised that the the 4 cylinder cars had black fins and the 6 cylinder had silver. This thread has just cost me a few £££'s as I'm now looking out for some new grills for my car.

Interesting that people pay attention to that. I purposely debadge most of my cars to keep people guessing. Status symbol stuff is silly IMO.

I have that doubt too. My 2012 BMW X3 F25 has a silver grille but I'd like to see how it looks in black. There is a solution that does not hurt and is to put some inserts (like those sold in 3 colors), but all in black, if you do not like, then remove them and that's it. The problem is to find out who makes them. On Amazon they have them in chrome, but not in black or carbon fiber which would also look nice

I have even contacted the factory in China that makes them in 3 colors and they tell me that they don't make them in black.

I think they all look great. I did mine so I could recognize mine in our area parking lots.
