That's what I thought too. Heck, it isn't even a year old! It screeched for 2 months until I took it in. At that time, they replaced the flocking and did the recall for the passanger window regulator. Now I worry about the vapor barriers leaking in the future.

I don't know how you stood it that long. It sounds terrible. Did it come and go?

It did come and go. Sometimes it was ridiculously loud and other times it was tolerable. I finally caved and took it in when there were a few other items that I wanted them to take care of.

Want the thrill, Is the flocking the same as ww8915's "weather stripping on the outside part of the window ledge"?

ww8915, Please let me know what they try next.

Good question. Work order just reads "replaced worn flocking". I know they had to take the door apart to do it. Next time I'm in for an oil change I'll ask (in early July).

Just wanted to update. As of 6/11/12 The noise is still NOT occurring.. they did something right to my car.

Question Trimmed Flocking And Applied Silicone

Went back to dealler yesterday. Was in a nd out quickly. They trimmed the flocking and applied silicone.
Noise gone but am concerned that this is not the solution. Was informed that my car is not the only one at the dealership experiencing this problem.
Will let you know if the noise returns.

Driver side window making screeching sound

One trip to the dealer and the shop foreman knew exactly what caused it. They replaced the outside shadow line rubber strip and the guides on the inside of the door. Hade to take off the door panel . Seems to have resolved the problem so far.
