Sparkling Bronze 35i Has Landed
Finally, it has landed. Will be picking it up tomorrow. Sparkling Bronze with Premium + Sport. Kind of anticlimactic with the other Sparkling Bronzes being posted in the last couple days but I think might be the first one with Sport + X-Line?
Anyway, the wait is almost over. Will see how those Summer Tires hold up on the drive home in winter conditions. Maybe I should bring the winters along and have the dealer install them. Last edited by darskiczd; 02-02-2011 at 06:06 PM.. |

It's room for more SB pic's in the forum. SB are a difficult color to render in photo, the color shows its different in the various light conditions. So if you have a chance try to take pictures in bright sunlight (maybe easy to say middle of winter) Look forward to see your car.

Which dealer did you go through?
I'm expecting to pick up a SB X3 3.5i with the sports package at Gallery BMW either this week or the next. I went with the Havanna leather for the interior. Have you looked into winter wheels yet? I live on an acreage and I don't think the X3 will make it up my long drive way with summers on. Looking forward to your photos. |

Great Photos. Looks great with the 19" wheels.
I saw your X3 last night when it was parked in the devilery bay. My Sparkling Bronze X3 was getting it's PDI and i found another one in the basement. It's obviously a popular color. I pick mine up Friday afternoon. How were the tires on the snow? |

Thanks Batman!
Today was +3 so the tires were fine. Have to be careful in the residential areas. Slipped right by the mailbox on the way home. I'll probably put on the winter wheels and tires tonight and will take some pictures when I do. They are in the factory 18" sizing. I don't know how they will look but if you are interested, I can PM you the details. Best Regards and please post pictures when you pick yours up. SB looks so different under different lighting conditions. |

Hey, that's my car! Only difference being that I have to struggle with the 2.0 diesel :-)
Nice pics, thanks!

There was a SB X5 in the showroom so we used that to choose SB for the X3. So we knew what we were getting into. It looks darker in the showroom and lighter in natural light. There were a couple threads where the SB colour on some X3's looked completely different (Martha Stewart one looked really brown and another one looked really purple), so we started to wonder if SB was different on X3 vs. on X5. But thankfully when it arrived, it had the same colour as the X5 we had initially used for colour selection. Big relief! The pictures I posted are very close to the actual colour, but like I mentioned it can change so much depending on lighting. I tried to take pictures in the showroom, in the showroom with sun, outside during the day, and outside as the sun went down. Hope this helps! |
