How to access Fog light bulb?

335i owner here, asking about replacing the fog lights on an f25 x3 with adaptive headlights for a friend.

How do I access the fog light bulbs? Do i go from the wheel well, or is it accessible from the hood?
The reason i have to ask is because they're so high up!

I believe it is an H11 bulb - correct me if I am wrong.

This procedure is shown in the manual for my '11 on pages 223 and 224. The page numbers should be similar for a '12 or '13. Yes, according to the manual it's an H11 lamp.

Sorry Verbatim, I was on my iPad and not my desktop, and didn't have my usual links and resources at hand. You've probably already found what you need on the BMW USA website.

yup! i was expecting a lot more
i guess that's just typical with the e90 forums where everyone is so busy making enough $$ to keep up with their used car payments that they can't help a guy out.

^now that's just me venting, and I don't really feel that way

or do I

i'll tell you everything you need to know right now
i'm just swapping the stock halogen bulb for a "white" halogen bulb
owner wants to match the fogs with the xenons, and HID kits tend to be offensive to other drivers, especially with fogs since they do not direct light at the ground

The pics from this post I think really help with removing the fogs to access the H11 bulbs in the adaptive (or H8 in the non adaptive)
