Hi All,

I've done a quick search and didn't find any straight forward answers. I wanted to know if the BMW remote app is usable in the Canadian market? If so, how does one register for an account? I downloaded the app and the first thing it asked me is for account and password.

I looked around on the forum and found a link to register but it did not have US/Canada region.

Can someone please share their experience?

Just bought a US model. I believe I had to call BMW Assist 888-333-6118 to set up the account, then the Services were available. The new vehicle purchase includes 10 years of remote services and 3 years of connected drive and real time traffic services. Have to assume something comparable in Canada. When I purchased the car, the dealership handed me a bunch of paperwork which included these instructions, with "Stolen Vehicle Recovery Service Certificate" in big letters on the top of the first page.
